Root Canal Treatment in South Delhi

A Painless Root Canal Treatment – Does It Exist?

Are you scared of root canal therapy in a dental chair, that drilling sound, and a painful experience? We have some good news for you; everything has changed now. Within a few minutes, you can get a root canal done and feel no pain!

Back in the day, for an RCT treatment, patients had to visit a dentist at least 3-4 times, but, currently, with the advent of modern technology and the advancement of new gadgets, root canal treatments in Vasant Vihar performed today are painless and too relaxed for patients.

At DENTEM, our endodontists and team of doctors perform single-sitting root canal procedures almost daily in patients, with tremendous cooperation from patients.

In addition to this, the patients don’t even have to undertake any severe post-treatment care; instead, there are only some minor instructions that can be quickly followed by the patients effortlessly.

Talking about the success rate, we have seen RCTs lasting for as long as 15 to even 20 years in our experience, provided the patients are following essential oral hygiene maintenance. Thus, the therapies for single-sitting RCT are compelling and long-lasting. Here at DENTEM, we use the most sophisticated endo motor and apex-locator instruments to ensure outstanding accuracy and precision. Many of the devices used in traditional Root Canal procedures were hand tools. But presently, all rotary files that have much higher efficiency are the files that we use to do single-sitting RCTs, thereby providing better treatment speed and shorter patient chair time.

How Do You Know It’s Time for an Rct?

  • Unbearable throbbing pain when you are lying down.
  • Gum tenderness or swelling near the sore tooth.
  • Your tooth appears to be darker than the rest or is discolored.
  • You have a dead tooth; if you have no pain even while trying to hurt the tooth.
  • If you have a sensitivity to hot or cold food, it may indicate that the blood vessels and nerves in your tooth are infected or damaged.
  • When you chew or apply pressure to that side of the mouth, you have extreme tooth pain.
  • With sporadic pus discharge, you see a tiny pimple on your gums.

In an injury, in a contact sport, or by chewing on something rough, a broken tooth causes bacteria to set in and lead to swelling and infection.

The RCT procedure includes getting an X-ray done followed by a Rubber dam which is the isolation of the tooth using a sheet of rubber. Then an access hole preparation on the tooth is done along with cleaning of roots. Finally, the dentist fills the root canals, and a temporary filling is done till the next appointment.

Is an RCT Painful?

A root canal phase sounds terrifying, but it’s usually not any more distinct than doing a deep filling with today’s technology. Since your dentist can use local anesthesia to numb your tooth and gums so that you are relaxed during the operation, there is little to no discomfort. The root canal treatment itself is close to having an ample filling, but it may take longer. As the dentist cleans out the rot, disinfects the roots, and then fills them in, the mouth will be numbed. This procedure will prevent the spread to the rest of your mouth of any dirty stuff.
